In the Color Crystal category, you are welcomed by a true art of light and color, inspired by centuries-old Czech tradition but adapted to the modern way of life. These exquisite products, made of authentic lead crystal, are not just dishes, but pieces of history that will turn every serving into an elegant, aristocratic ritual.

What awaits you in this category?

The Color Crystal 2024 category presents handmade lead crystal products with rich colors, achieved by adding mineral oxides directly to the crystal mass. All products are made in the Czech Republic and have a certificate for 24% PbO crystal. Their color is durable – it does not fade or peel, because it is part of the glass itself, not a surface coating.

The collection includes three main product groups:

The first group is glasses for various drinks – red and white wine goblets with a volume of 250–450 ml, water and soft drink glasses of about 300–350 ml, as well as low whiskey tumblers and 50 ml shots. All of them have hand-cut facets and are available in five basic colors: ruby red, cobalt blue, emerald green, amethyst purple and topaz yellow.

Sets. The second group includes drinks sets, which usually contain six glasses and a jug or carafe with a volume of 1–1.5 liters. The most popular are sets with ruby or blue elements, which are sold in luxury boxes and are often chosen as wedding gifts. The sets are coordinated in color and shape, so that each item can be used both independently and in a set.Β

Bottles. The third group is the individual bottles – decanters, jugs and carafes. Decanters have a volume of 750–1500 ml and are designed for aerating wine – with a wide base and an elegant stopper. Jugs are more practical for everyday use, with a comfortable handle and spout, a volume of about 1 liter. Carafes are smaller, often 0.5–0.7 liters, and are used for serving whiskey, brandy or other spirits. All bottles have hand-polished edges and precisely cut ornaments that enhance the refraction of light.Β

Production technology

Colored Bohemian crystal is produced in two main ways. The traditional method is the so-called “mass” coloring, in which mineral oxides (cobalt for blue, copper for red, chromium for green) are added while the glass mass is being melted in the furnace at 1400 Β°C. The crystal is then hand-blown, cooled slowly and hand-cut.

The modern approach uses the same minerals, but the melting is done in more precisely controlled electric furnaces, and some of the facets are applied with laser-guided diamond tools. In both cases, the final inspection and polishing are done by hand to ensure the traditional high quality.

How does colored crystal fit into modern interiors?

The colorful vessels from this collection fit harmoniously into various interior concepts. In a classic dining room, ruby and blue glasses and decanters create a strong accent against a wooden table and white tablecloths. In a modern city apartment, a single colorful carafe on a black console or white countertop becomes a visual centerpiece without visually overloading the space.

In eclectic homes, our colorful glasses and bottles combine wonderfully with brass, gold or bright textile elements, adding depth and warmth. Due to the strong refraction of lead crystal, the color of each vessel looks different depending on the lighting – during the day it is saturated and dense, and in the evening under the warm artificial light it becomes softer and radiant. Thus, the same item can look different depending on the time of day and the room arrangement.
